Abstract Gabbeh wool rug in dark cream base with elongated spots of various brown shades. The rug exhibits different shades of colours when viewed from either end.
Gabbeh: A Lori word to describe fairly coarse, long-piled rugs made by nomads of the central Zagros Mountains for use in the tent. They are decorated with bold abstract patters or nave designs and recently their artistic value has been recognized.
