The perfect finishing touches to your new stair carpet or runner. Homepride are hollow anodized 1/2" (12.5mm) diameter stair rods available with brass, bronze, black, pewter, satin nickel and chrome finishes and provide a stylish economy option. They are supplied in stock lengths with one acorn finial loose so they can be cut down on site. The acorn then pushes into place. The stair carpet or runner needs to be safely fixed using carpet grippers etc before applying your Homepride stair rods.
There are three mounting options available dependant on what type of stair carpet or runner you have installed:
- Where there is a fully fitted carpet across the full width of the stair carpet there is a fixing with thinner lugs so that the screws go through the carpet without the mount sitting too high
- Where there is a fully fitted carpet and a desire to have the stair rods across the full width there is a side fixing mount option
- In the usual case of a stair runner with exposed tread either size there is the standard Runner + Acorn Finials with thicker screw lugs to allow for the carpet thickness.
Homepride stair rods start from 30" (76cm) stock lengths [suitable for runner carpets up to 27" (69cm) in width]. Additional lengths up to 120 cm are available costing additional 30p for each increase of 4 cm above 92 cm. Measurements are from rod tip to rod tip and include the finials. Please add maximum 10 cm over your stair carpet runners width to give required length or in the instance of a full width fitted carpets mounts the recommended length is minimum 10 cm less than the full width. [see photographs]
Choosing stair rod lengths when staircase has a change of direction [bend/corner]:
- Measure and count the number of rods you require [do not forget to include one for start of staircase]
- Select your bracket type then your finish options next choose shortest length first [this will be majority of rods for your standard parallel sided stairway]
- Click on Add to Shopping Cart
- Update the quantity from 1 to the number you reguire at this length
- Use the browser Back button to return to this page and choose next length required
- Repeat this process until all the lengths you require are in your Shopping Cart
- Check that numbers and lengths are correct, remove or update accordingly, before proceeding to Checkout
