Spectacular carpeted wooden staircases look fantastic with these matching Tudor oak triangular cross sectioned [19mm x 19mm x 25 mm] stair rods available with brass, bronze, black, pewter, satin nickel and chrome finished brackets and tips. They are supplied in light or dark oak waxed finish and are also a magnificent designer touch in wood flooring halls. The stair carpet or runner needs to be safely fixed using carpet grippers etc before applying your Tudor stair rods.
There are two mounting options available dependant on what type of stair carpet or runner you have installed:
- Where there is a fully fitted carpet across the full width of the stair carpet there is brackets with thinner lugs so that the screws go through the carpet without the mount sitting too high
- In the usual case of a stair runner with exposed tread either size there is the Runner + Brackets with thicker screw lugs to allow for the carpet thickness.
Tudor stair rods start from 30" (76cm) stock lengths [suitable for runner carpets up to 27" (69cm) in width]. Additional lengths up to 120 cm are available costing additional 30p for each increase of 2 cm above 92 cm. Please contact us on Freephone 0808 2020215 if you require longer Tudor wooden stair rods.
Measurements are from rod tip to rod tip. Please add maximum 8 cm over your stair carpet runners width to give required length or in the instance of a full width fitted carpets mounts the recommended length is minimum 8 cm less than the full width. [see photographs]
Choosing stair rod lengths when staircase has a change of direction [bend/corner]:
- Measure and count the number of rods you require [do not forget to include one for start of staircase]
- Select bracket type then your finish options next choose shortest length first [this will be majority of rods for your standard parallel sided stairway]
- Click on Add to Shopping Cart
- Update the quantity from 1 to the number you reguire at this length
- Use the browser Back button to return to this page and choose next length required
- Repeat this process until all the lengths you require are in your Shopping Cart
- Check that numbers and lengths are correct, remove or update accordingly, before proceeding to Checkout
